So much to do, so little time.......

Planning wardrobe, cases, all the documents, all the copies of the documents, how to get to the airport, when to get to the airport, activities for the airport, books to read on the plane, what to pack in my hand luggage to change into when we land in the states, having the correct sim card in my phone, trying to organise Adele to get her things organised, (a major concern)...... I need to make sure that everything is in place so I can completely let go and enjoy myself, knowing that there will be little chance of anything going wrong.

I can sit back and relax seeing as though I have the control freak working overtime....

The map

Whilst explaining to my 6 year old prince exactly where his Nanny and I are travelling, I thought it might be easier for me to show him a map and draw some arrows. My little angel cuddled into my arm as I was plotting the arrows and I felt my heart start beating a little faster.... part excitement about this trip of a life time with my beautiful Mumma and part absolute sorrow and sheer panic about how much I will miss my gorgeous little man (and my gorgeous big man).
The tears come easily when I think about leaving Baby Fitz for 3 weeks.
Wow, how's that for a downer.....

All needles are not created equal.....

Okay, so the needles on the left (not to scale!) are able to be taken onto an aeroplane, however, the teeny tiny needles on the right (to scale), are not allowed onto a plane... what the? I could fatally wound someone with a bamboo knitting needle, not that I would.... unless they were trying to take a teeny tiny sewing needle off me....

I will continue with my research. The thought of a long flight with nothing to do with my hands freaks me out a little bit, maybe I could get a doctor's certificate to say that I will go mad if I don't have my handsewing... okay, you can laugh at me now.

Anyone got a definitive answer about needles on planes?

Amazing things we've booked.

So, according to our little count down clock over there on the left, we've got 33 days until we leave.... how flipping exciting!

We have booked some really cool things so far. Although we have booked awesome accommodation in Vegas, New York and Paris, we hadn't booked Hong Kong. So now we've booked somewhere a little out of the way for us to completely unwind, swim and sleep before we hit reality again.

We've also booked our New York Pass - OMG!!

and a dinner at 58 Tour Restaurant at the Eiffel Tower, a night cruise down the Seine and a show at Moulin Rouge as well as a tour at the Palace of Versailles... even as I type this I can feel my heart starting to beat a little faster and my eyes are welling up. I am so excited!

There is still a fair bit to research, but the main bits and pieces are done.... now we wait.
